A WordPress blog that federates faces the same problems that other Fediverse users face, namely, how to find your audience and be heard across the #Fediverse. If you’re starting with a large follower base on your blog, you have an advantage. If you’re starting from zero, you will probably want to to search Fediverse for relevant hashtags and users actively posting on those hash tags.
The Friends plugin for #WordPress works pretty well. I think it will work very well for light federation and interaction.
As I’ve said before, I started this WP blog to test WordPress federation. In version 2.0 of ActivityPub plugin, all the pieces are there and its working very well for my light activity. Eventually, I would love to see #federation as a built in default for WordPress.
